----------Lenguaje lunar
---The most beautiful world is always---entered through imagination.
----------------------------Helen Keller
Metiendo la mano mojada y fría
en el agua de la noria
la niña ciega aprendió
como los símbolos y señas
igualan algo sentido —----------dejado a entrar.
Alzando la mano
hacia la luna plena,
cogiendo la luz
la traduzco a la página —
pequeños puntos luminosos, impulsos
para que tú los descifres de nuevo
a la luz de la luna.

----Language of the Moon
---The most beautiful world is always---entered through imagination.
----------------------------Helen Keller
Holding her hand, wet & cold,
in the water of the well,
the blind girl learned
how symbols & signs
match something felt —--------let in.
Holding my hand
up to the full moon,
cupping the light,
I translate it to the page —
tiny luminous dots, impulses,
for you to decipher anew
into the light of the moon.

---Canto del Solsticio
El Sol le canta a la Tierra
(en voz alta al norte,
en voz baja al sur)
como una ballena de luz
en el mar de los cielos
pacíficos o turbulentos
su aria de amor.
Y ella, corazón encendido
le canta también.
Nosotros sus hijos
apenas aprendemos a cantar.

------Solstice Song
The Sun sings to the Earth
(loudly in the north,
softly in the south)
like a whale of light
in the sea of the skies,
calm or turbulent,
his aria of love.
& she, heart aflame,
sings to him, too.
We, their children,
are barely learning to sing.

----Canção do Solstício
O sol canta à terra
(em voz alta, ao Norte,
e em voz baixa, ao Sul)
qual uma baleia de luz,
nos mar dos céus
pacíficos ou turbulentos
a sua ária de amor.
E ela, coração aceso,
canta para ele, também.
E nós, seus filhos,
apenas aprendemos a cantar.
