We must take to our streets! We are being governed by a fool
arrogant in his abysmal ignorance, incapable of telling the truth, a
disbeliever in science, intent upon nuclear war, cruel, and so full of himself
that nothing else matters. He fills the positions of power with scoundrels and
criminals. Those that support him in the Senate, the House, the Supreme Court
are hardly better. We are governed by fascists intent upon tyranny and making
slaves of us all. Being a Democrat is no guarantee of decency, but it is no
longer decent to be a Republican.
No matter the party with which you have identified, it must
be people over party and we must take to our streets to say a resounding NO to
the U.S. wars at home and abroad, to the greed and lust for power, to the
cruelty. Our love for the Earth, for life, our compassion, our sense of justice
must bring us out to fill our streets and say no to the madness that threatens
us. On the weekend of April 14-15 there will be actions throughout the nation
to confront the war makers and defend humanity, the Earth, life.
In the San Francisco Bay Area, on Sunday, April 15 we will
gather at the Lake Merritt Amphitheater in Oakland at 11:00 in the morning,
hold a rally, and at 12:30 PM march to Oscar Grant (Frank Odgawa) Plaza for the
main rally at 1:30 PM with many fine speakers and artists, among them our
beloved Alice Walker and Cindy
Sheehan.
See the call and our list of demands below and share them
widely with everyone on your lists and on social media. Please send this call
widely by word-of-mouth, calls, leaflets, email, social media to everyone you
know (and don't.) Post the flier on Facebook and all social media.
You outside the San Francisco Bay Area, to
find the action nearest you, please click on the images of the flier and demands. If there is none, organize an action
yourself, even if it be just in your neighborhood, even if it be anywhere on
Earth. Let us follow our beautiful and courageous youth, meet each other, look for
ourselves in the mirror of one another's face, link hands, unite our voices for
the sake of life.

¡Tenemos que tomar a nuestras calles! Nos gobierna un imbécil
arrogante en su ignorancia abismal, incapaz de decir la verdad, no creyente en
la ciencia, intento en una guerra nuclear, cruel y tan lleno de si mismo que
nada vale más. Llena los puestos de poder con canallas y criminales. Los que lo
apoyan en el senado, la cámara, la corte suprema son nada mejor. Somos
gobernados por fascistas intentos en la tiranía y a hacernos esclavos todos. Ser
demócrata no es garantía de ser decente. Pero ya no es decente ser republicano.
No
importa con que partido se hayan identificado, tiene que ser la gente sobre el
partido y tenemos que tomar a nuestras calles para decir un resonante ¡NO! a
las guerras de los EE.UU. en casa y en el extranjero, a la codicia y al hambre
de poder, a la crueldad. Nuestro amor a la Tierra, a la vida, nuestra
compasión, nuestro sentido de justicia nos debe sacar a llenar nuestras calles
y decir no a la locura que nos amenaza. El fin de semana del 14-15 de abril habrán
acciones por toda la nación para enfrentar a los hacedores de guerra y defender
a la humanidad, la Tierra, la vida.
En la
área de la Bahía de San Francisco el domingo 15 de abril nos reuniremos en el anfiteatro
del lago Merritt en Oakland a las 11:00 de la mañana, celebrar un mitin y a las
12:30 PM marchar a la Plaza Oscar Grant (Frank Odgawa) para el mitin principal a
la 1:30 PM con much@os excelentes orador@s y artistas nuestra querida Alice
Walker y Cindy Sheehan.
