se seca una raíz principal
en la profundidad de la lengua,
se empobrece la palabra,
queda desolado el oído,
desorientado el corazón.

When a poet dies

a star is emptied

in the heavens of the imagination,
a main root dries
in the depths of the tongue,
the word is impoverished,
the ear is left desolate,
disoriented the heart.
